Responsible for observing, training, modeling, and coaching of Head Start/Early Head Start Teachers and Early Head Start Family Educators.
Bachelor’s degree (master's degree Preferred) from accredited college/university in Early Childhood, Child Development, or related field with experience in working with preschool children.
Complete an application for Career Pathway Registry (STARS) along with application for Trainer Registry. It is preferred to have the following: experience in child development with working knowledge of developmentally appropriate practices; home visiting experience with knowledge of health and/or social work helpful; and complete the Non-Violent Crisis Intervention (CPI) certified instruction training.
Typical work hours Monday-Friday 8:00 - 4:00 p.m. unless 4 day/10 hour schedule is approved; evening/weekend hours and overnight travel as needed; ability to travel from site to site providing own transportation; valid driver’s license; vehicle with adequate insurance coverage for on the job use; safe driving record; State and Federal Bureau of Investigation Criminal History Check; Sex Offender Registry Check; Protective Services Record Check; initial Health Assessment and required updates; prior to hire TB Risk Assessment or TB screening by Mantoux method. Planning and organizational skills; ability to work without direct supervision; ability to train classroom and home-based staff, manage and evaluate others; oral and written communication skills; accurate record keeping and reporting skills; computer skills.
Physical Demands: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally required to stand, walk, sit, use hands, drive an automobile, talk, and hear. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 15 pounds.
