Responsible for implementation of service area as outlined in the Program Plans; responsible for implementation of the West Virginia School Transportation Regulations and transporting enrolled children to/from centers and on field trips.
High School Diploma or GED. CDL - Minimum Class B License with Passenger, Air Brake and S Endorsement (as required by WV Division of Public Safety); and WV School Bus Operator Certification (CDL, Endorsements, and Certification may be obtained after hire); candidate shall be at least 21 years of age; at least three (3) years of driving experience as a licensed operator of a motor vehicle.
While performing the duties of this job, the employees occasionally will be required to stand, walk, sit, use hands, drive an automobile, talk, and hear. The employee must occasionally life or move up to 15 pounds.
Obtain/maintain a CDL - minimum Class B license with Passenger, Air Brake, and S Endorsement, WV School Bus Operator Certification.
Work hours as assigned by Children/County Services Supervisor; safe driving record; initial and annual physical exam as required by the WV State Department of Transportation; State and Federal Bureau of Investigation Criminal History Check; Sex Offender Registry Check; Protective Services Record Check; prior to hire TB Risk Assessment or TB screening by Mantoux method; CPR/FA card; and food handlers’ card (for Drivers that assist with meals). Subject to pre-employment drug testing for use of certain controlled substances and alcohol, as well as random testing thereafter.
