Provide administrative assistance to CSBG/SSVF programs; essentially purchasing, procurement, requisitions, inventory, and payment of services for the CSBG program. Process emergency assistance services to individuals and families.
Minimum of high school diploma or equivalent required. Certificate or degree in office administration, management, or a related field, preferred. Documented prior work experience working in an office administrative role and environment assisting with the public.
While performing the duties of this job the employee is required to stand, walk, sit, use hands, drive an automobile, talk, and hear. Communicate both verbally & in written form. Ability to walk up & down stairs. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.
Valid Driver's License. Other certifications may be required for the position; should be obtained within the first 3-6 months of accepting position. *Some certifications are provided/paid for by employer.
Be able to provide own transportation; carry adequate insurance coverage; Criminal Background Check; Protective Services Record Check. Ability to drive long distances. Must be willing to travel and attend required meetings. The ability to successfully organize, communicate, and manage well under pressure. Excellent computer and clerical skills. Use of Microsoft Office Software/Products preferred. Professional use of telephone skills, working knowledge of all types of office equipment. Ability to work independently and as a team member and interact with people from all socioeconomic backgrounds.
