Job Summary

Performs a wide variety of detailed, responsible, and confidential administrative duties requiring a thorough knowledge of organizational and Human Resources procedures and precedents.

Education and Experience

High School diploma or GED with a minimum of 2 years of equivalent work in an office setting and experience in Human Resources preferred.

Physical Demands

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally required to stand, walk, sit, use hands, drive an automobile, listen & communicate verbally & in written form. The employee must occasionally lift and or move up to 25 pounds.

Job Requirements/Skills/Responsibilities

Be able to provide own transportation; valid driver’s license, adequate insurance coverage if vehicle needed for on-the-job use; Criminal Background Check; Protective Services Record Check; initial Health Assessment and required updates; TB Risk Assessment or TB screening by Mantoux method.

Proficiency using Microsoft Word, Excel, and other computer applications. Training or experience with Human Resource Data Information systems is desirable. Communicating effectively with all segments of the corporation and community. Ability to work independently, exercising judgment and initiative. Interacts and communicates with individuals at all levels of the organization, demonstrating poise, tactfulness, diplomacy, and good interpersonal skills to handle sensitive and confidential situations.

Have an understanding human resources employment labor laws and regulations, policies, and procedures.

Independently respond to letters and general correspondence of a routine nature; respond to complaints and requests for information within the framework of agency policies. Research, prepare and maintain personnel reports.
