Weatherization Energy Auditor/QCI will accurately estimate the type and quantity of materials required to effectively (according to cost) weatherize a dwelling and prepare written work orders for crews or contractors. This position supports the Weatherization Coordinator in all department activities within the BIL Program and the Weatherization Program.
High School Diploma or GED. Experience preferred.
Must be able to successfully organize, communicate, and work well under pressure. Computer and math skills are necessary.
Prepare written work orders for work crews and/or contractors. Analyze utility bills including breaking out base-load usage from heating and cooling usage. Possess knowledge of combustion appliance safety, building science principles and heating systems.
Valid driver's license. Building trades with audit and inspection certification preferred. Be able to obtain the required DOE/WVDO Auditor/Quality Control Inspection Certification. Be able to provide own transportation; carry adequate insurance coverage; safe driving record; Clear Criminal Background Check and Protective Services Record Check. Ability to obtain required certifications.
Must be able to bend and crawl on knees or back at times. Can extend body to reach hard to get areas. Must stand, walk, sit, use hands, drive a vehicle, talk, hear, occasionally lift, and carry up to 50 pounds, climb 2 story ladders, and crawl under areas at least 18 inches high.
