Responsible for the system design, planning, guidance, support, and training, as well as the implementation and monitoring of Family and Community Engagement services, and assure compliance as outlined in the Head Start/Early Head Start Performance Standards, Head Start Act as well as other national and regional regulations and policies.
Bachelor's Degree from accredited college/university in Social Work, Adult Education, or related field. Experience in providing social services to children and families preferred.
Typical work hours Monday - Friday 8:00 - 4:00 p.m. unless 4 days /10 hour schedule is approved; evening/weekend hours and overnight travel as needed; ability to travel from site to site providing own transportation; valid driver’s license; vehicle with adequate insurance coverage for on the job use; safe driving record; State and Federal Bureau of Investigation Criminal History Check; Sex Offender Registry Check; Protective Services Record Check; initial Health Assessment and required updates; prior to hire TB Risk Assessment or TB screening by Mantoux method; Complete application for Career Pathway Registry (STARS) along with application for Trainer Registry.
While performing the duties of this job, the employees occasionally are required to stand, walk, sit, use hands, drive an automobile, talk, and hear. The employee must occasionally lift and or move up to 15 lbs.
Preferred Social Work License or eligible for Social Work Licensure, experience in adult education or social work.
