Effective Date(s) of Accounting Policies

The effective date of all accounting policies described in this manual is July 1, 2019. If a policy is added or modified subsequent to this date, the effective date of the new/revised policy will be indicated parenthetically immediately following the policy heading.

It is recognized that not every situation that may arise in performing the financial obligations of the corporation may be addressed in this document. The Finance Director with approval from the Executive Director, reserves the right to determine and implement undressed circumstances with procedures on an as-needed basis. NCWVCAA reserves the right to amend these policies immediately and without approval from the Board of Directors or the Policy Council in order to be compliant with change or additions to Federal and State Law or to be compliant with Federal Grant Guidelines. The Board of Directors and the Policy Council will be informed of these changes at their next formal meeting.
